After spending almost a decade in the commercial real estate industry, I realized I had also spent tens of thousands of dollars on a graduate education, Excel courses, real estate courses, and memberships to industry organizations.
But when I looked back at my education, I realized that the skills I was using on a day-to-day basis were learned almost entirely on the job, and those tens of thousands of dollars spent on formal coursework and training turned out to be extremely theoretical, unnecessarily complicated, and sometimes actually a diversion from the most important things I did need to learn to be successful in the industry.
If you’ve had the opportunity to sit down with someone who has found success in the real estate game (and they’ve been willing to be honest with you), you’ve probably heard the phrase, “Real estate isn’t rocket science!”
But if you’re just starting out in the industry and looking for training online or in a traditional classroom setting, you’d probably think it was rocket science. And that’s a problem. Real estate, in fact, is not rocket science. And it shouldn’t be taught to you that way.
In my opinion (and experience teaching over 70,000 students), there are a few main building blocks of real estate investment analysis, and once you learn these, everything else tends to fall into place a lot more easily.
So if you want to learn real estate financial modeling and investment analysis in a way that actually makes sense, and skip the process of wasting tens of thousands of dollars learning irrelevant or outdated information, I’d love to have you take our training for a spin.
